Recruit Wrap: How RU Commits/Targets Fared's "Recruit Wrap" is a quick-read look at how some of Rutgers' top targets as well as committed players fared on the high school gridiron during the weekend games. This week's "Wrap" goes from upstate New York to south Florida, and makes plenty of stops in betweeen.

Welcome to the "Recruit Wrap," a feature that appears Monday during the high school season. It will be a mix of players already committed to Rutgers as well as updates on players who are being recruited by the Scarlet Knights. It is designed to give readers a potpourri of information on how recruits are faring on a weekly basis.

Committed to Rutgers
Cocoa (Fla.) High running back Chevelle Buie score on runs of 12 and 58 yards and a kickoff return of 67 yards, plus added a 40-yard punt return in a 42-0 win against Atlantic. It was Cocoa's 28th straight win.

Downingtown East High (Exton, Pa.) tight end Tyler Kroft caught three passes for 66 yards in a 21-14 win against Centerville.

Manalapan High (Englishtown, N.J.) quarterback Mike Bimonte was 8 of 18 for 131 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-0 defeat of Middletown North.

Cumberland Valley High (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) linebacker Kevin Snyder rush nine times for 128 yards and a score, had one catch for seven yards and made five tackles in a 52-27 victory against St. College.

Absegami High (Absecon, N.J.) running back Ben Martin ran for 24 yards on the opening drive in a 20-6 loss to Atlantic City, but injured his ankle and was used sporadically afterward.

Christopher Columbus High (Bronx) defensive tackle Al Page missed his third straight game with a bruised midsection.

Neptune (N.J.) High running back/safety Charles Davis had a team-best 76 rushing yards and scored on a 10-yard run in a 29-11 defeat of Long Branch.

Timber Creek Regional High (Erial, N.J.) receiver Damiere Byrd rushed 11 times for 170 yards and three scores in a 41-34 loss to Moorestown.

Long Branch (N.J.) High athlete Miles Shuler was 10 for 22 for 175 yards and a score in a 27-11 loss to Neptune.

St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) running back Savon Huggins rushed for three scores (15, 25, 33 yards) in a 28-14 win against North Bergen.

Jefferson High (Tampa) receiver Andre Davis had touchdown catches of 52 and three yards in a 62-7 win against Osceola.

Middletown (N.J.) North High defensive end Shilique Calhoun had one tackle for loss and made two catches for 17 yards in a 35-0 loss to Manalapan.

Bergen Catholic High (Oradell, N.J.) quarterback Tanner McEvoy was 8 of 15 for 204 yards and three touchdowns (48, 28, 41 yards) and two interceptions, and ran eight times for 78 yards and a score in a 54-12 win against Teaneck.

Montclair (N.J.) High receiver Aamad Bush caught a 25-yard touchdown pass in a 55-34 loss to Seton Hall Prep.

Linden (N.J.) High receiver Ruhann Peele caught three passes for 78 yards in a 49-20 win against Elizabeth. He also took an unofficial visit to Rutgers for Saturday's game against North Carolina.

Franklin High (Somerset, N.J.) receiver Carlton Agudosi caught five passes for 184 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown, in a 34-21 loss to Phillipsburg.

Piscataway (N.J.) High running back Tevin Shaw ran 17 times for 101 yards and a touchdown in a 34-17 defeat of Woodbridge.

Northern Valley High (Old Tappan, N.J.) athlete Devin Fuller was 5 of 6 for 127 yards and three scores and rushed five times for 68 yards and a score in a 44-7 defeat of Indian Hills.

Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) receiver Leonte Caroo had seven catches for 88 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown, in a 33-6 win against St. Ignatius.

Don Bosco Prep defensive back Elijah Shumate had seven tackles in a 33-6 win against St. Ignatius.

Holy Spirit High (Absecon, N.J.) running back Nigel Jones did not dress because of an ankle injury in a 39-6 win against Bridgeton.

Wyoming Valley West High (Plymouth, Pa.) athlete Eugene Lewis ran 17 times for 142 yards and threw for 133 yards in a 27-15 win against Berwick.

Downingtown East running back Drew Harris carried 39 times for 160 yards, including a 7-yard touchdown, in a 21-14 win against Centerville.

William Floyd High (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) ran 14 times for 141 yards and caught three passes for 26 yards in a 35-12 win against Central Islip.

Sayreville High (Parlin, N.J.) Receiver Delon Stephenson had 79 yards of total offense in a 51-7 win against Monroe.
