Philip Anderson, QB, 6-1, 188, 4.78, Plainfield HS
Georgia, Rutgers, Temple, Purdue, Tulane, Wisconsin, Connecticut and Boston College
"I like Georgia, Rutgers and Temple"
On what he brings to a team:
"I feel that I am a leader on the field and off the field. I am very coachable. I always give 110%. I feel that when I am on the field I can raise the level of play of my team mates.
I can play any style of offense. In my old ( transferred from St. Mary's in Perth Amboy) we were a passing team. Plainfield is an option team and I am adapting real well."
On summer camps:
"I going to Virginia with Daniel (Davis); I am also going to a Div 1AA camp in Tennessee that specializes in the option and another camp in the Pocono's."
"Rutgers is a very good school, I went to camp there last year. I was very impressed. The Hale Center is very impressive. Coach Schiano is a great coach. I have cousin who is a linebacker at Kean (Kevin Wright) who will probably transfer to Rutgers."
What types of things will influence you decision.
"Location doesn't really matter. I'll go anywhere. I definitely want to go to a school where I can get a chance to play."
Last Season Honors
"I was honorable mention All State. First Team All Area. I was Second Team All County."
Last Season's Statistics
"Last season I had a couple of injuries and only played six games. I passed for 850 yards, I had 215 rushing. I had 10 touchdown passes and four rushing touchdowns.
I was recently at the Tri State Challenge at Giant's Stadium. A lot of the top players in the Tri State Area were there. I finished second in the quarterback category. I have been invited to the Nike Camp at Penn State.
As a sophomore. I went to the University of Florida football camp and ranked second overall despite competing against seniors."
