Perhaps the close friends will be spending plenty more time together on the Rutgers campus in the coming years.
Minutes after Agudosi, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound receiver, announced he committed to Rutgers during a ceremony in the Franklin High library Friday, ScarletReport.com asked Morgan if he had a leader.
"I like Rutgers so far," said Morgan, who is being recruited to play safety.
The 6-foot, 190-pound Morgan also said he is likely changing the timetable for making a decision. Originally, he planned to commit to a school after the season.
"I'm probably going to do it before the season," Morgan said. "I don't want to wait. It'll take pressure off so I just have to worry about the season. It's a big weight lifted off your shoulders."
Morgan holds offers from Rutgers, Virginia, Connecticut, Towson, Boston College and Illinois. He already visited Rutgers more than a dozen times (the latest was last week's spring game) and members of the Scarlet Knights coaching staff was at Franklin High earlier this week.
"They stopped by to see coach (Lou) Solomon the other day to talk to him. So he told me they came by," Morgan said. "I'm always going over to the campus."
Connecticut is the only other school Morgan visited, but that will change this summer.
"I'm going to be visiting Virginia and Boston soon, and I'm trying to get to Illinois," said Morgan, who had 89 tackles and two interceptions as a junior.
Agudosi said he will now recruit Morgan hard to Rutgers, and Morgan said the emotions of the last few days have been enormous.
Agudosi committed to Rutgers on Wednesday night, but he waited to make the announcement until Friday after school let out.
"It makes me excited," Morgan said. "I was thinking about maybe we could have done it together. …I'm happy for him. I was happier than him. I was calling him every five minutes saying, ‘Yo, I'm happy for you.' "
