Agudosi "Coming For" Top Talent in New Jersey

SOMERSET, N.J. -- With his personal college search over with, Franklin High School wide receiver Carlton Agudosi had a special message to many of the undecided top-talents in New Jersey. Agudosi, like other recruits turned recruiters, talked with on the importance of "staying home."

SOMERSET, N.J. -- Rutgers football's newest verbal commitment, Franklin High School wide receiver Carlton Agudosi, was very clear when asked if he had a message for some of the other big-name recruits in New Jersey.

"Bosco kids, I'm coming for you," Adudosi said.

Agudosi named Elijah Shumate, Darius Hamilton and Leonte Carroo as guys he plans to target to join him on the Banks in 2012.

"I have a lot of phone calls and text messages planned for the next few days," Agudosi said. "I want to make this an in-state thing. I want a championship."

Along with the private school kids that Agudosi has gotten to know on visits and at camps, the 6-foot-5 wide receiver has his sights set on someone much closer to home.

"I'm working on Kye Morgan," Agudosi said. "I'm going to try and get my high school teammate playing with me at the next level."

Morgan holds an offer from Rutgers and listed the Scarlet Knights as his leader while on-hand at Agudosi's commitment.

Morgan holds verbal scholarship offers from Rutgers, Boston College, Connecticut, Illinois, Virginia and Towson.

Agudosi said he has slowly gotten to know the RU receivers during his many visits. He ran into Tim Wright in a shop a week ago and the two exchanged information to keep in touch.

Agudosi said he is looking for tips from Wright, Mohamed Sanu and Mark Harrison on recruiting, but his comfortable with his own sales-pitch.

"I'm just selling the program," Agudosi said. "It's about how much we can do. Staying in-state, we can make it happen. We can bring it to Jersey."
