The summer camp and combine circuit is just about over and high school training camp is a few weeks away.

So, it is the perfect time for to unveil a three-part series ranking the top prospects in New Jersey's 2012 class.

Here is Part II:

20. ATH Delon Stephenson, 5-11, 185, Sayreville High (Parlin) says: Committed to Rutgers on July 15. A multi-threat player who rushed for 1,049 yards, had 401 receiving yards and a combined 23 touchdowns. Also made 39 tackles, intercepted five passes and had four kick returns for touchdowns.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? The Scarlet Knights offered in the fall and it remained his lone offer. He will enter as either a running back or a slot receiver.

19. LB Mike Strizak, 6-3, 225, Don Bosco Prep, Ramsey says: Committed to Boston College on July 18 while also considering Rutgers and Connecticut. Plays outside linebacker but may grow into a defensive end in college.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? The recruitment was average to above average, and in a year the Scarlet Knights have limited scholarships to give out, this one may sting a little more.

18. LB Steve Longa, 6-1, 218, Saddle Brook High says: Committed to Rutgers on May 25 after seeing his recruitment take off in the spring. Has speed and athleticism that led to him making 76 tackles and rushing for 751 yards and eight touchdowns in 2011.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? After getting his film out in the winter, Longa picked up huge interest and Rutgers made him a priority above any other weakside linebacker in the class.

17. TE Ryan Morris, 6-5, 240, Barnegat High says: Committed to Purdue on June 27. Big tight end target who was recruited to play in the slot and also tight to the line of scrimmage to use his versatility. He made 30 catches for 494 yards and four touchdowns as a junior.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? Morris visited campus and liked the school a lot, but an offer never materialized.

16. LB Dan Mastromatteo, 6-2, 15, Holy Spirit High, Abesecon says: Committed to North Carolina on May 21. Can get to the quarterback off the edge and could excel in that role, but may play in the middle. He had 90 tackles, including 11 sacks, last season.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? He was indentified early in the process as a middle linebacker, and the Scarlet Knights made a hard push for him.

15. DT Austin Johnson, 6-4, 275, St. Augustine Prep, Richland says: Committed to Penn State on June 25. Also had an offer from Rutgers. He was recruited to play defensive tackle, but his best position may be offensive guard.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? After performing well at the Big Man Academy, Johnson was offered and was high on the Scarlet Knights' list …as an offensive guard.

14. DT Jamil Pollard, 6-3, 275, West Deptford High, Westville says: Committed to PSU on April 10, but re-opened his recruitment this month. He is hearing from Boston College and Rutgers, but there are questions whether he will play offensive or defensive line in college. He made 58 tackles as a junior.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? In another year, Pollard would be a high priority. But the Scarlet Knights may like Pollard more on the offense line, and with three commitments there it is lukewarm at this standpoint.

13. WR Ruhann Peele, 6-1, 185, Linden High says: Became the first member of the 2012 class when he committed to Rutgers on Aril 12. Fantastic competitor who caught 30 passes for 493 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 32 times for 219 yards and score last season.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? He had an offer before he camped at Rutgers following his sophomore season, and he was a high-priority for nine months before he committed.

OT 12. Jim Cashman, 6-7, 275, Haddonfield High says: Committed to Boston College on June 25. Saw is his offer list grow to more than two dozen during a crazy spring. Has the body and footwork to play left tackle and could be a dominant player once he increases his strength.
What was/is Rutgers' interest? There was high interest from the Scarlet Knights, but Cashman never felt the pull of the home-state school and told Rutgers a month before his commitment to Boston College that he wasn't interested.

11. DE Julian Pinnix-Odrick, 6-5, 260, Montclair High says: Committed to Rutgers on June 29. He made 82 tackles, including 10 sacks, and is the brother of Miami Dolphins defensive end Jared Odrick. What was/is Rutgers' interest? The Scarlet Knights needed a defensive end, and Pinnix-Odrick was a priority because of his mixture and size and athleticism. They wanted him bad, and got him.
