Top 2013 TE to Visit Rutgers Thursday

Cedar Cliff (Camp Hill, Pa.)tight end Adam Breneman will visit a Rutgers for a practices for the second time in 2011. Breneman spoke with ScaretReport.com about his expectations for his second visit and his interest level in the Scarlet Knights.

Before Adam Breneman begins his own training camp at Cedar Cliff High School (Camp Hill, Pa.), the top 2013 tight end has a trio of visits schedule to college training camp.

Sandwiched between visits to Maryland and Penn State, Breneman will be on-campus at Rutgers for the second time since receiving a verbal scholarship offer.

"I'm bringing my family and I'm excited to get back to the Rutgers campus," Breneman said. "That's one of the schools that has been recruiting me the hardest and I want to see more."

Because of a time crunch, Breneman said he did not see enough when he visited for a spring practice, but plans to spend all day Thursday in Piscataway, N.J., this time around.

"I'm going to do as much as I can," Breneman said. "I want to see the coaches and the tight ends at practice. I want to really get to meeting with the coaches and I hope to get a good look at the campus because I've heard it's great."

Breneman said he has a strong relationship with tight ends coach Brian Angelicho and also talks with incoming freshman linebacker Kevin Snyder from Mechanicsburg, Pa.

"Coach Angelicho is great," Breneman said. "He's really easy to get along with and he's honest. He recruits my area and he's my position coach, so it's good to have both in one."

Breneman told ScarletReport.com last month that Rutgers would be a school he will keep a strong interest in no matter which schools offer.

"I like the coaches and the family atmosphere of the place," Breneman said. "You can tell with the recruits that they're getting and the coaching staff that it's a program that's on the rise. It's the kind you can get excited about playing for."

Breneman has a long way to go before he comes to a decision and already has offers from many schools around the country including Alabama, Notre Dame and Florida State.

"It's really great to have those kinds of offers already," Breneman said. "I've always thought about wanting to be relatively close to home for school, but it would be OK if I went farther away if one of those schools seemed like the right fit."

Breneman has already made visits to Rutgers, Maryland, Notre Dame and Alabama and said that he hopes an offer from Penn State is coming Friday when he visits State College, Pa.

"I think I'll be hearing from them when I meet the coaches in-person next week," Breneman said. "I hope so at least."
