Let's see if we've got this straight. The Atlantic Coast Conference is going to expand to 12 teams. The ACC is going to expand to 10 teams. The ACC is not going to expand at all.
Miami is going to bolt from the Big East to the ACC and take Boston College and Syracuse with it. Miami is not going to join the ACC, but the Big East's eight football-playing schools will go one way and its five basketball-playing schools will go another, with Notre Dame going its own way, as usual

The Big East Conference may be on its death bed, even while it celebrates national basketball championships by Syracuse University (men) and the University of Connecticut (women).

I don't know if I am the only RU grad/supporter who realizes ( I'm sure I am not !) that the RU sports program has had a really good year. Lax (men and women), Baseball, wrestling, crew, women's tennis, soccer, fencing etc. have all made the national scene....................and the appropriate people should get appropriate credit.
I am not sure it all goes to the AD, but at least other programs- - - to the exclusion of BB and Football- - - have prospered and succeeded during his tenure.
I truly believe that the football program will arrive this year. I also have a great deal of faith in the new Pres., McCormick, and I think his presence will help lead us to real success in the national sports programs.
Just a note to encourage a bit more in the accolade department for the "overlooked" sports.
