Notes from the Virginia Tech Nike Camp

Daniel Davis, DT, LB, 6-2, 250, 4.69, Plainfield HS (NJ)

Just got back from the Virginia Tech Nike Camp. Dan got offered by Nebraska. Maryland and Wake Forest said that they would come to his school and both look like they will be offering soon.

"The Nebraska coach said to me 'Who has offered you.' I said Rutgers and Virginia and he said 'you missed one.' Then he gave me an offer from Nebraska.

At the camp I made a point of trying to go up against the best Then he told me that they were going to offer. Right now Nebraska, Rutgers, Virginia and Wisconsin all look good, along with Maryland."

Dan is a DT, 6-2, 250. He recently ran a sensational 4.69  in the forty at the Tri State Challenge.

Philip Anderson, QB, 6-1, 188, 4.78, Plainfield HS

"I was measured at 6-0, 180. I ran the shuttle at 4.09 and the forty and 4.7 (at PSU). I did 14 reps at the bench at 185.

I won the accuracy contest in my group. I was getting compliments for accuracy and mechanics. I got two offers recently. New Hampshire and Delaware State. Tulane has called my coach and they are going to come and take a look at me. West Virginia and Wake Forest also seemed interested and both will drop by my school."

Prep Star sent a letter to Phil  and Dan Davis telling them that they, along with Offensive lineman teammate (Steve Council) were all nominated for preseason All American.
