Recruit Wrap: How RU Commits/Targets Fared's "Recruit Wrap" is a quick-read look at how some of Rutgers' top targets as well as committed players fared on the high school gridiron during the weekend games. The "Wrap" goes wherever the Scarlet Knights are recruiting.

Welcome to the "Recruit Wrap," a feature that appears Monday during the high school season.

It will be a mix of players already committed to Rutgers as well as updates on players who are being recruited by the Scarlet Knights. It is designed to give readers a potpourri of information on how recruits are faring on a weekly basis.

Bloomsburg (Pa.) High quarterback Blake Rankin completed 10 passes for 160 yards and two TDs in a 67-27 loss to South Columbia.

Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.) receiver Leonte Carroo caught 8 passes for 73 yards in a 38-7 win against St. Edwards.

Sayreville High (Parlin, N.J.) running back Delon Stephenson carried seven times for 62 yards and two TDs and three catches for 40 yards in a 35-0 win against J.P. Stevens.

Saddle Brook (N.J.) High linebacker Steve Longa carried nine times for 47 yards in a 14-6 win against St. Mary.

Ponte Vedra (Fla.) High placekicker Kyle Federico went 5 for 5 on PATs and averaged 40.6 yards on five punts in a 35-6 win against Matanzas.

Linden (N.J.) High receiver Ruhann Peele ran 24 times for 154 yards and a fourth-quarter 21-yard TD in a 13-7 overtime win against Watchung Hills.

Archbishop Wood High (Warminster, Pa.) running back Desmon Peoples scored three times in a 57-0 win against Mastery Charter.

Old Tappan Northern Valley (N.J.) High athlete Devin Fuller completed 15 of 21 for 222 yards and two TDs (4, 4) in a 34-14 win against Wayne Valley.


Franklin High (Reisterstown, Md.) receiver Ian Thomas had a TD catch in a game that was suspended because of darkness with Franklin ahead 28-22 early in the fourth quarter against Milford Mill.

Don Bosco Prep defensive tackle Darius Hamilton had a sack against St. Edward.

Don Bosco Prep safety Elijah Shumate carried six times for 25 yards and a TD (9) and caught one pass for 21 yards against St. Edward.

Union (N.J.) High running back Jamauri Bogan ran 29 times for 280 yards and four TDs (5, 9, 4, 92) and returned a punt 79 yards for a TD in a 37-35 loss to Westfield.

Wayne Hills (N.J.) quarterback Kevin Olsen completed 9 of 15 passes for 224 yards and three TDs (45, 33, 55) in a 38-0 win against Paramus.

Piscataway (N.J.) High athlete Nadir Barnwell completed 5 of 8 passes for 101 yards with a TD in a 48-0 win against Old Bridge.

Camden (N.J.) Catholic running back Jared Alwan ran for 97 yards and two TDs (3, 46) in a 40-0 win against Seneca.

Immaculata High (Somerville, N.J.) defensive end Tashawn Bower had one catch for five yards in a 42-3 win against Bridgewater-Raritan.

Piscataway High cornerback Kyle LaPorte had three catches for 52 yards against Old Bridge.

St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) receiver Charlie Callinan had three catches for 56 yards, including an 8-yard TD, in a 31-21 win over Ursuline.

Elizabeth (N.J.) High quarterback Philip Walker completed 5 of 9 passes for 56 yards in a 48-0 win against Plainfield.

Bergen Catholic High (Oradell, N.J.) receiver John Tsimis had eight catches for 88 yards and a TD (25) in a 45-32 win over Edison Friendship.
