Without a doubt, the most outstanding college basketball T-shirt one could own in 1989 bore the question, 'Where is Seton Hall?' on one side and the answer, "In the Final Four," on the other side. The Pirates haven't been to a Final Four since 1989. In fact, no school that doesn't sponsor Division I-A football has played for the national championship since Seton Hall did so, losing to Michigan in overtime. With the impending breakup of the Big East, the chances of a non-football school making it that far dwindle.

Faculty leaders at North Carolina have formally opposed the proposed expansion of the Atlantic Coast Conference.Ten members of the Faculty Council's executive committee on Friday unanimously voted against ACC expansion. The resolution will be sent to chancellor James Moeser and faculty groups at other ACC schools.
