Muller Loves Rutgers Official Visit

Boyertown (Pa.) offensive lineman and Rutgers commit Chris Muller took his official visit this weekend with friends and future teammates. On campus for the first time since the end of the season, the three-star offensive lineman spoke with about his official visit.

Rutgers offensive line commit Chris Muller was almost at a loss for words after his weekend official visit to Piscataway. After 48 hours of fun, Muller called his weekend one of the best of his life.

"Oh my God, this weekend was awesome," Muller said. "That's all I can say. It was awesome."

Muller is close with many of the other recruits visiting Rutgers, including commits Blake Rankin, Leonte Carroo and Brandon Arcidiacono and top prospects J.J. Denman and Darius Hamilton.

Mixed in with the fun of the weekend, the 6-foot-6 offensive lineman played his part in trying to recruit Denman and Hamilton to join him at Rutgers.

"It was great just to finally hang out with all of these guys at the same time and just to see the chemistry that we have already," Muller said.

Muller planned to attend the Grease Trucks challenge this weekend — eating five "fat sandwiches" in a 45-minute window — but opted against it with all of the free food available during his visit.

During the weekend, Muller said he ate a total of six fat sandwiches and intends to attempt the challenge some time after National Signing Day.

"Don't worry, I'll get it down," Muller said.

Red-shirt freshman guard Betim Bujari hosted Muller on his visit. Muller said it was an instant friendship.

"My favorite part of this weekend was probably just listening to Betim the whole weekend," Muller said. "That was great. He's just a funny kid, I got along with him really well. We just clicked."

Muller expects to sign with Rutgers Feb. 1 on National Signing Day after verbally committing during the summer over Penn State.
