Nate Robinson (DT, 6'4"-315lbs, 4.9 forty) was one of the highest rated defensive linemen in the nation in 2002. His combination of size and speed had over 40 programs offer him a full scholarship. In the end, he committed to Miami. However, he still had to qualify before he could accept the full scholarship and attend Miami.
The Big question. Did he qualify?
The June SAT is the final opportunity for all of the prospects that had not obtain the score needed for eligibility. Today, Robinson informed me that he obtained a 820. According to him, that score would be enough to grant him eligibility thereby allowing him to attend Miami.
The next hurdle is the NCAA Clearinghouse, who will review his grades and SAT scores to make it official.
What was the alternative?
If he did not obtained the necessary score, he would have attended Rutgers.
When does he report to camp?
He will report to Miami on July 16th and plans on competing for playing time at the DT position.
