Quick Hitter: Tsimis Talks Rutgers Offer

Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) wide receiver John Tsimis made his Rutgers offer public today. Receiving an offer earlier this spring, Tsimis spoke to Scout.com at a Nike combine event in Maryland.

Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) receiver John Tsimis has had a Rutgers offer for a month, but made it public today when speaking at a Nike camp outside of Baltimore, Md.

Tsmis, who holds Division I offers from Rutgers, East Carolina and Temple, enters the summer not planning on a quick college decision.

"They're really interested in me," Tsimis said. "I'm really interseted in them. They're a big-time school. They run a prostyle offense and I could fit in there. They said they needed play-makers."

Tsimis received his Rutgers offer during an unofficial visit to campus and returned to Piscataway in late April for the spring game.

"[My visit] was really good," Tsimis said after the spring game. "I got there early to get a tour of the campus and have an academic meeting. After that I went to the game and I enjoyed that. The game was good. They had all of the starters on one team, so they looked really good out there."

Rutgers also has a Bergen Catholic offer out to athlete Kyle Queiro, who is being recruited as a safety.
