An old friend, Richard Dorsey, will allegedly be at Mt. Zion this year. The 6'8" 235 pound fifth year guy has a long list of schools including Rutgers following his progress. Rutgers was also on the list last year when he was at Laurinburg Prep, North Carolina. This guy is a rebound machine and can jump out of the gym. His outside game is developing slowly but put him in close and he is a rim rocker. Auburn and Florida State may be at the top of his list for this power insider who plays his summer ball for Baltimore Select.
Another insider with Baltimore connections is 6'7" power forward, Will Thomas, of Mount St. Josephs, Baltimore. This shot blocking rebounding machine has a bevy of schools including Rutgers, Virginia Tech and West Virginia monitoring his progress.
Another new name from Shoe Camp Week is Will Daniels, a 6'7" power insider from Roosevelt High School, Hyde Park, New York. Will who plays his AAU ball for Jim Hart's Albany Rock is being monitored by a bevy of schools. At least five Big East schools are following this power stud.
Gordon Watt of Evanston, Illinois, is a 6'7" wing forward that mentioned Rutgers this week. This 205 go-go wing lists RU, BC, Michigan State, Marquette, Connecticut and Indiana.
Out on the Loop Rutgers has allegedly placed an offer on the table for Chicago power insider Ollie Bailey. SHU is also heavily involved as is Gene Keady and Purdue. Rutgers is also very much in the hunt for Luke Bonner, a 6'11", center from Manchester, New Hampshire. The list for this guy goes from Stanford on the West Coast to Rhody on the East Coast. The AAU connection here may be biased toward former BC Coach, OB, the present Ohio State Coach.
Speaking about Rhody, they got a verbal this past week from stand out Connecticut guard, John Lucky. This was a good job by Coach Baron who has been a winner at every level of the game.
