PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers junior Jeremy Deering lined up at safety Monday and Tuesday, but it wasn't in place of being a receiver. It was in addition to it, and after Tuesday's practice he discussed his increased role.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Jeremy Deering added safety to his training camp resume as the Rutgers junior moved to the secondary for special packages in practice.
However, it doesn't mean he is changing position again. The receiver-turned-running back-turned-receiver will continue to have a role in the offense, and he will also be a kick returner.
After Tuesday's practice, Deering spoke about his new position.
