PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Jawan Jamison entered training camp in a battle for the starting running back spot and now he is not only is No. 19/20 Rutgers' most recognizable name, he is on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, which is given to the nation's top running back.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The last time Jawan Jamison failed to reach 100 yards in a game, the actual story that day was Rutgers getting blitzed at Connecticut with the Big East title on the line.
That was before Jamison capped the 2011 season with 134 yards in the Pinstripe Bowl, and he hasn't slowed down.
Jamison has run for more than 100 yards in each game this season and he leads No. 19/20 Rutgers into Saturday's game against Syracuse as the Big East's leading rusher with 601 yards.
