"They are recruiting me the hardest," Brown said. "I talk to their coaches a lot. I'm considering all three of them for when I commit."
Brown took an official visit to Rutgers in November and left with rave reviews of the program.
"I liked it a lot," Brown said. "The coaches were cool and I liked the way practices were run. It was good."
Head coach Mike Rice and his staff have spent significant time recruiting Brown, he said.
"He has a lot of energy and excitement about where their basketball team is going," Brown said. "They're going to join the Big Ten and they're already in the Big East and having a great season. Coach [Rice] said he sees me as someone that can help their team."
Originally from North Miami Beach (Fla.), Brown averaged 20.5 points per game in his first year with Broward. He is being recruited by Rutgers as both a shooting guard and small forward in Rice's system.
Brown has three years to play two at the Division I level and will be eligible for a summer enrollment. He has no timetable for a decision and has not made plans for any more official visits.
"I'm versatile," Brown said of his skill set. "I do a bit of everything and I'm good at getting to the basket. Most of all, I'm aggressive and really athletic. That's what coaches say they like is [my athleticism]."
