Scout 300: Rutgers Names to Know

The Scout 300 rankings are out for the class of 2014 with tons of Rutgers names on the list. ScarletReport.com takes a look at the top names on the list when it comes to Rutgers and its targets.

11.) Paramus Catholic (N.J.) CB Jabrill Peppers -- No longer looking hard at Rutgers, Peppers received an offer as a true freshman at Don Bosco and is the top prospect in the Garden State.

31.) Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Md.) OL Damian Prince -- Prince is a two-time visitor to Rutgers preparing for a third this spring. He is a former teammate of Rutgers receiver Brandon Coleman and is one of the top prospects considering Rutgers.

53.) Lake Braddock (Burke, Va.) QB Caleb Henderson -- Henderson visited Rutgers for a bowl practice and, although the visit went well, his recruitment has him focused elsewhere.

70.) Abraham Lincoln (Brooklyn) DE Thomas Holley -- Holley saw his recruitment completely explode after visited Rutgers and earning a verbal offer in February. Holley is now up to 13 offers including Alabama and Florida.

85.) Red Bank Catholic (N.J.) OL Quenton Nelson -- Nelson turned himself into a national recruit with a strong junior season with the Caseys. Former teammate of Rutgers incoming freshman Josh Klecko, Nelson has been a frequent visitor to campus.

117.) Washington (Pa.) RB Shai McKenzie --McKenzie received a Rutgers offer three months ago and is another recruit that has seen his offer sheet explode since Signing Day.

133.) Northern Valley (Demarest, N.J.) DE Andrew Trumbetti -- Trumbetti camped at Rutgers last summer, but eliminated the Scarlet Knights when he released his top three schools a few weeks ago.

156.) Manalapan (N.J.) WR Saeed Blacknall -- Blacknall got his first big-time offer when he camped at Rutgers last year, but his recruitment exploded after a big junior season. Blacknall added an LSU offer yesterday and is the top receiver in a deep list of Rutgers targets.

172.) St. Joseph's (Montvale, N.J.) CB Kiy Hester -- Hester is one of the New Jersey prospects that may look to leave the state but he is close with new receivers coach Anthony Campanile and redshirt freshman safety Davon Jacobs.

185.) Ponte Vedra (Fla.) OLB Dillon Bates -- Bates has 25 offers from everywhere in the country. He comes from the same program as Rutgers kicker Kyle Federico.

187.) Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) TE Garrett Dickerson -- Another Campanile guy, Dickerson can be a top-tier tight end or defensive end at the college level and is the top prospect in a rich Bergen Catholic program.

191.) St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) WR Corey Holmes -- Holmes is one of the top Sunshine State receivers and has a Rutgers offer on his double-digit list.

227.) Liberty (Bethlehem, Pa.) WR K.J. Williams -- Rutgers is out front for the talented four-star receiver, who recently had to cancel an unofficial visit to campus. Williams is one of many big-time receivers in the region looking hard at Rutgers.

245.) Dr. Henry Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md.) S Marcus Allen -- Allen has a busy offseason and a ton of offers and has Rutgers high on his visit list.

252.) Gilman School (Baltimore, Md.) CB Troy Vincent -- Vincent visited Rutgers for a bowl practice and is the son of former NFL Pro Bowl cornerback Troy Vincent.

269.) Middletown (Del.) WR Chris Godwin -- Godwin is the best prospect in Delaware in a few years and is close with incoming freshman Andre Patton. Freshman running back Dontea Ayres spent his senior year at Middletown as well.

275.) West Deptford (N.J.) RB Gerald Owens -- Owens is a bulldozer running back out of South Jersey with multiple ties to Rutgers and an interest in staying home.
