PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- A proud member of the Rutgers football family, former star quarterback and record-holder Mike Teel returned to campus last week to aid aspiring NFL prospects by throwing for them at pro day. After throwing to the receivers, Teel spoke with ScarletReport.com about returning to the football field and his thoughts on new offensive coordinator Ron Prince.
Mike Teel has a relationship with new Rutgers offensive coordinator Ron Prince that dates back nearly a decade. As the former starting quarterback at Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), Teel was recruited by Prince to play at Virginia before ultimately deciding on Rutgers.
Teel then faced off against Prince in the 2006 Texas Bowl and led Rutgers to the first bowl win in its history.
Now a Rutgers graduate in the business world, Teel returned to Rutgers last week to throw at pro day and spent time with many former teammates and coaches. Teel discussed the day and his experiences with ScaretReport.com before heading home.
