Wabash Valley junior college forward Chris Griffin committed to Rutgers at the conclusion of his official visit Monday.

ended his visit by giving coach Mike Rice a non-binding oral commitment.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Griffin, who plays at Wabash Valley, also visited Gonzaga and was being recruited Auburn, Penn State, Miami, St. Bonaventure, San Francisco and Florida Gulf Coast.
"I talked to him during his visit and he said he is having a great time," said Chris Ayres, Griffin's former AAU coach. "It seems like it going really well. He said he was getting along well with the other players."
As a sophomore at Wabash Valley, Griffin averaged 10.5 points per game in the post through a 15-game span. He originally played at Tallahassee High (Fla.) and has two years of college eligibility remaining.
