TV: Nova Focused on Spring

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- In Gary Nova's words, he never experienced "failure" until last season during a late breakdown for the Rutgers football team. After an offseason of hard work and introspection, Nova returned to the field this morning for spring practice and discussed the many differences between what he is now and what he was as a sophomore.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Junior quarterback Gary Nova was candid in a five-minute session with the media following today's spring practice.

Admitting to failures during his sophomore seasons and problems staying in shape last spring, Nova plans to be a changed man as the starting quarterback this spring.

Nova discussed a variety of topics, including new offensive coordinator Ron Prince, learning new terminology in Prince's system and struggles with consistency as a sophomore.

Changing to No. 10 -- his high school number -- Nova wants to start fresh in spring practice.
