TV: Nova, Peoples Talk Scrimmage

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The first Rutgers scrimmage was abbreviated and highly situation but showed some positive strides for an offense under a new play-caller. A turnover-free day for quarterback Gary Nova, he and redshirt freshman running back discussed pacing the offense Saturday morning at High Point Solutions Stadium.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Gary Nova did not light it up, but safely protected the football and moved the chains in his first spring scrimmage.

For redshirt freshman Desmon Peoples, eight runs for 49 yards is what he hopes will earn him a stronger look at running back behind Savon Huggins and Paul James. Both performed solidly Saturday morning and discussed the first two weeks of spring camp with after wrapping things up at High Point Solutions Stadium.
