PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Chris Laviano enrolled a semester early at Rutgers to compete for playing time and develop as a quarterback. Midway through spring practice, Laviano is pushing for practice reps and head of the curve in developing into a college quarterback.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Chris Laviano has seen action as high as the third team in just his third week of spring practice. A true freshman battling with Mike Bimonte and Blake Rankin for developmental reps, the early enrolled quarterback from Holy Trinity (Hicksville, N.Y.) is playing well early.
Laviano did not see action in the first scrimmage but projects to in the second and third scrimmage. Gary Nova and Chas Dodd are entrenched as the two-deep quarterbacks going into camp, but Laviano spoke to ScarletReport.com about the importance of enrolling early and early lessons learned.
