The Harrisburg (Pa.) running back remains impressed with Rutgers and said his second trip was "just as good" as his first one.
"Since I was already up there, I pretty much knew the place and was really comfortable," Martin said. "I pretty much went to bring my mom and [grandmother] out there and they could see it for themselves."
Spending the day on campus with his family, Martin said Rutgers remains in his top two with West Virginia.
"They were really impressed," Martin said. "They liked the [academic progress rate] and the coaches and about the school. They would be happy if I went to Rutgers."
Martin spent the day watching the scrimmage and enjoyed watching the running backs and the way they were used in Ron Prince's offense.
"They used a bunch of different backs, but I think I could come in there and make an impact," Martin said. "That's what [head coach Kyle Flood] was telling me at the end. He thinks I'm the kind of guy that can come in and help them get to the Big Ten."
Martin said he wants to take visits to both Pittsburgh and West Virginia before he makes a decision. A decision, however, is coming before the start of his senior season.
"West Virginia is in my top two," Martin said. "They're a great school, but I need to visit them."
Rutgers hosted Martin twice for spring practice and could receive another visit during the summer.
"They're doing big things at Rutgers," Martin said. "It's definitely on the rise."
