A three-star power forward, Etou played for Jordan as a 17-year old and is set to do so again at Rutgers.
"He played for Eddie with one of our programs before [Jordan] went to the Lakers," said DC Assault coach Damon Handen. "That's where that relationship comes from. It's a good start for Eddie, because he'll play very hard for Rutgers."
"They're cousins and you'll see the same exact style in Junior," he said. "He's a worker. He's tough and he rebounds. He's a good kid too. He wants to work hard."
Etou chose Rutgers over finalist Washington. The 6-foot-7 power forward is the second commit in as many days to Jordan in just his second week on the job.
"Toughness," Handen said. "That's the one word I would use to describe him to you. He's a great rebound and a great defender. He has a warrior-like mentality."
