Rutgers AD Search: Hot Board Updated

Rutgers is down to three finalists for its vacant athletic director position, according to Saturday night reports by the Newark Star-Ledger and New Jersey Press Media. ScarletReport.com looks in-depth at the names and chance with its latest hot board.

Sean Frazier
Sean Frazier

Occupation -- Wisconsin, deputy athletic director

Background -- Frazier has been with the Badgers, and the Big Ten, since 2007. Working closely with athletic director and legendary coach Barry Alvarez, Frazier has intimate knowledge of the inner workings of a Big Ten athletics department and a relationship with commissioner Jim Delaney. Frazier's Wisconsin duties include liaison to the primary booster and fundraising organizations and head of day-to-day operations within the athletic department. Frazier is a Long Island, N.Y., native and former Alabama football player.

Julie Hermann
Julie Hermann

Occupation -- Louisville, senior associate athletic director

Background -- Key player in one of the nation's premiere athletic departments, Hermann works closely with Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich and has been with the Cardinals administration for 16 years. Though successful in her role alongside Jurich, her expertise and experience comes in both women's basketball and Olympics sports and not money-makers football and men's basketball.

Thomas Boeh
Thomas Boeh

Occupation -- Fresno State, athletic director

Background -- Boeh has 17 years of experience as an athletic director and has been with Fresno State since 2005. His focuses during time with Fresno include maintaining the football program's following the departure of longtime coach Pat Hill and improving the Academic Progress Rate. Boeh has experience with Rutgers via scheduling its ongoing football series. He also has Big Ten experience as a former associated AD at Northwestern and Chicago-area native.
