TE Lister Goes In-Depth on Rutgers Offer

Katy (Texas) tight end Logan Lister received a Rutgers offer the day offensive coordinator Ron Prince came to his school to see him work out. Lister went in-depth on his offer with ScarletReport.com.

Katy (Texas) tight end Logan Lister got the chance to discuss his position with new Rutgers offensive coordinator Ron Prince and it left him feeling impressed with the newest school to verbally offer him a scholarship.

Lister received a Rutgers offer yesterday during the spring evaluation period and is now in the process of planning a summer visit.

"I've talked to him for about an hour," Lister said about his interactions with Prince. "It was pretty cool. He gave me his background and thinks I can fit into his offense. I was pretty impressed."

A 6-foot-5, 240-pound tight end, Lister also has offers from Houston and Texas State. He wants an offense that fits his capabilities at tight end.

"Rutgers runs a pro-style offense and coach Prince said they need tight ends for what he wants to do," Lister said. "I'm a good blocker and someone that's going to work hard to make catches."

Lister plans to visit Rutgers this summer with his father, but said he has not set anything up yet with the staff. Meeting head coach Kyle Flood and touring the school will be important, he said.

I've been talking to them for about two weeks. I was hoping they'd offer and I was really excited to get an offer from a Big Ten school. … I haven't done much [research]. I've looked at their program, but I haven't seen much about their actual school. I'm going to look it up soon."

Lister has interest from Northwestern, Boise State and Oklahoma and wants to have a decision made by the end of the summer.

"It's definitely going to be in the summer time," he said. "I want to be sure of what I'm doing when my senior year starts."
