Plant City (Fla.) defensive end Sedrick King does not have leaders as he approaches the end of the spring evaluation period, but he does have five new offers and three schools standing out.

Naming Rutgers, Louisville and UCF as the three schools recruiting him the hardest, King hopes to visit all three over the summer.

"Right now I feel like those three are recruiting me the hardest," King said. "They're the three on me most right now, talking to me."

Rutgers is recruiting King as a defensive end, where he has a good relationship with line coach Jim Panagos.

"I have a really strong relationship with them," King said. "They're really trying hard to get me. I like that about them. They've really put themselves out to me."

A summer visit to Rutgers is in the works, King said.

"I'm just hoping to see their campus and just how their players interact," King said. "I want to see if it's a good fit for me."

Nothing is set up yet, but King said he has interest in a visit to Louisville as well.

"I really like the way their coach talks about their program and I really like their defense," King said.

King visited UCF for its junior day and worked out in front of coaches today as one of the four schools in to see him.

The move into the American Athletic Conference is another draw to UCF, he said.

"That and I also like that they're close to home," King said. "I really like how the coaches are recruiting me hard. I like UCF a lot."

Multiple schools stop by Plant City daily during May, King said, and he is up to eight total offers – Rutgers, UCF, USF, Memphis, Louisville, West Virginia, FIU and Florida A&M.
