Jordan Hires Triggs, Bhatia as Assistants

Rutgers basketball coach Eddie Jordan finalized the additions of two staff members Thursday afternoon with assistant coach Kyle Triggs and director of basketball operations Dalip Bhatia. Retaining assistants David Cox and Van Macon, Jordan now has a strong compliment of staff members going into summer development.

Eddie Jordan's Rutgers basketball team continues to near completion. Signing four new players to the roster, Jordan added two assistant coaches today in his announcement.

Former Los Angeles Lakers assistant Kyle Triggs and St. Peter's assistant Dalip Bhatia will now join the program as assistant coach and director of basketball operations respectfully.

Triggs comes to Rutgers in similar fashion to Jordan, who left the Lakers after the coaching change from Mike Brown to Mike D'Antoni. A West Virginia product, Triggs brings primarily NBA experience to a staff that already has seasoned recruiters in David Cox and Van Macon.

"We are very excited to add Kyle and Dalip to our staff," said Jordan. "They are high-character individuals who will represent the program well. Kyle is hard working and industrious. He has a great insight for the game. Dalip is a Rutgers man. He is detail-oriented and highly regarded in the metro basketball community."

Bhatia joins the program from St. Peter's where he was both a director of basketball operations and assistant coach. He was on the sidelines at the Louis Brown Athletic Center for a St. Peter's upset over Rutgers in the season opener.

Bhatia is a Rutgers graduate and comes from nearby North Brunswick High School.
