Rutgers Offers 2015 Defensive End

Frankford (Pa.) 2015 defensive end Shareef Miller received a verbal scholarship offer from Rutgers Saturday after impressing at a lineman camp. Miller holds two offers early in the process and discussed his experience and offer from Rutgers.

Frankford (Pa.) 2015 defensive end Shareef Miller was one of the top performers at Saturday's lineman camp at Rutgers and it led to his second verbal scholarship offer.

The 6-foot-4, 200 pound junior defensive end worked closely with defensive line coach Jim Panagos and said he impressed the staff.

"They liked that I'm very fast at my position," he said. "They like that I'm athletic and they said I'm the right fit for their school and they liked me a lot."

Miller enjoyed the opportunity for a 1-on-1 conversation with head coach Kyle Flood, who had a verbal scholarship offer for him by the end of the day.

"It was great, really great," Miller said. "I really like Rutgers a lot. I learned a lot from the camp and I just wanted to show my best talents out there and impress the coaches.

"I love Rutgers. The facilities were awesome and the coaches were great. It was my first visit there. It was great."

Miller holds an offer from Massachusetts and camped Sunday at Temple in front of first-year coach Matt Rhule and his staff. Cincinnati is also showing interest, Miller said.

As a sophomore, Miller recorded 55 tackles and 12 sacks.
