PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Fifth-year senior Jamil Merrell was announced as a captain over the weekend, and the Rutgers defensive end spoke about the significance of the move as well as the young talent he sees on the defensive line.

Fifth-year defensive end Jamil Merrell was named co-captain of the Rutgers defense along with his linebacker Brother, Jamal Merrell, and he spoke about the significance of it.

Also, Merrell gave his thoughts on the development of a few of the younger players on the Scarlet Knights' line of scrimmage, including defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph and left tackle Keith Lumpkin.
