PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers was in full pads for the first time this training camp and afterward coach Kyle Flood said the play of middle linebacker Steve Longa and receiver Miles Shuler stood out.

Rutgers coach Kyle Flood met the media after Tuesday's practice, which was the first one in full pads, and he said several players stood out.

Flood liked what Steve Longa is doing at middle linebacker, how Miles Shuler caught the ball and blocked and also said Chris Muller continues to progress at guard.
