Thomas Talks Learning Curve

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The loss at Fresno State was difficult, but Rutgers red-shirt freshman cornerback Ian Thomas took plenty out of it that he can apply to Saturday's home opener against Norfolk State.

Ian Thomas made an interception in his first career game, and the Rutgers cornerback also finished with one tackle in the loss at Fresno State.

Thomas, a red-shirt freshman and a converted receiver, said there was plenty he learned in his first game, and that included adjusting to the tempo of the game.

Following Tuesday's practice, he spoke to ScarletReport.com about his experience, and what it means for moving forward.
