PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers got production from multiple unexpected sources Saturday in the 28-24 victory over Arkansas. First-time starter Quentin Gause and first-year starter Tyler Kroft each played impact roles in the victory and discussed their performances in the locker room.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- For linebacker Quentin Gause
, Saturday's seven-tackle performance was a sign that hard work pays off. Burried on the depth chart and toying with multiple position changes early in his career, Gause started for injured team captain Jamal Merrell
. Gause made three TFLs and had a touchdown called back after further review.
On the offensive side of the ball, sophomore Tyler Kroft exploded with six catches for 133 yards. Kroft started his third consecutive game and is fourth in the nation in receiving yards among tight ends.
