PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Fifth-year senior Nick Marsh will be the go-to option on long range field goals for Rutgers Saturday against SMU. Already entrenched as the punter and kickoff specialist, Marsh emerged as coach Kyle Flood's choice for long field goals coming out of the bye week.
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Fifth-year transfer Nick Marsh continues to emerge as one of the most valuable offseason additions to the Rutgers football team.
An instant winner of the punting job, Marsh is now the No. 1 option on long field goal attempts going into SMU and conference play.
Marsh was a backup kicker at Utah, but has not attempted a field goal in a game since high school. His chance could come Saturday against SMU with starter Kyle Federico struggling and backup Nick Borgese unable to overtake him in practice.
