PARLIN, N.J. -- Myles Hartsfield of Sayreville (N.J.) War Memorial has visits to Rutgers and Penn State under his belt and an early verbal offer from the Scarlet Knights.

Hartsfield plans to visit Pittsburgh (Nov. 9) and Maryland (Nov. 23) before the end of the year.

After a 35-13 victory Friday night, the 6-foot, 170-pound Hartsfield broke down the early schools of interest.

Rutgers -- "I love their coaching staff. They always ask me how I'm doing and they really care about their players. They lost a game (against Houston) when I was there, but they never gave up. They always kept on fighting, and I love that. One loss doesn't change anything for me."

Penn State -- "I'm pretty excited about Penn State. It's a different college. I haven't been able to attend any other games. I love the school. I've been down there because my sister was being recruited for track. I love the campus. The football field is nice. The team is always good."

Pittsburgh -- "I love the coaches. It's amazing there. I can't wait to get up there and see what they're all about."

Maryland -- "I went down for their one-day camp with my cousin Deion [Miller] and I loved it. There's always good competition at Maryland. My dad says it's always good to get out of the state and play against different competition. Their campus was good, and their field was one of the best I've ever seen. Obviously I love their uniforms."
