PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova committed two more turnovers, and running back Paul James averaged a season-low 4.1 yards per carry in the 52-17 loss to Cincinnati. The two key pieces to the Rutgers offense talked about problems, and having five days to fix them before UCF.
Rutgers is on a short week, and will need Paul James at 100 percent to push for an upset against UCF. James made his return to the field after missing six weeks with a lower leg injury, and he ran for 80 yards on 4.1 per carry.
Starting quarterback Gary Nova watched his second fourth quarter of the year from the bench after two turnovers in the blowout loss to Cincinnati.
Both Nova and James spoke to ScarletReport.com Saturday afternoon about what went wrong and if things can be fixed before the trip to Orlando, Fla.
