TV: Coleman Declares for NFL Draft

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Team captain Brandon Coleman will play his final Rutgers game in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. The 6-foot-6 receiver declared for the NFL draft Saturday afternoon. He will remain with the program in practices and the bowl game before hiring an agent.

Brandon Coleman will be the next Rutgers football player to leave early for the NFL.

Coleman joins the list that includes Logan Ryan, Mohamed Sanu, Kenny Britt and others in leaving early for professional football.

Coleman announced his decision Saturday after bowl practice, and will remain with the program until the New Era Pinstripe Bowl before hiring an agent.

Coleman is 15 credits short of graduation, and plans to get his degree after meeting with academic support.
