Rankin Hungry for Upcoming Opportunity

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Quarterback Blake Rankin has been a scout team and reserve quarterback for the last two seasons, but expects to compete for a starting job this spring. Sitting out for two seasons has not been easy for quarterback Blake Rankin. Planning to compete for playing time during a spring battle, Rankin discussed what he has learned so far, and the importance of extra work in bowl practices.

Rankin signed with Rutgers two years ago. He spent his first two seasons as the fourth-team quarterback after a stellar high school career at Bloomsburg (Pa.) Area High.
