SR.com TV: Seagears Feeling Fine

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Guard Jeromme Seagears gave Rutgers a significant boost in his return to the court Wednesday. Seagears put up 18 points off the bench in an 85-75 victory over UCF to get back to .500 in American Athletic Conference action.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers stuck with its big lineup Wednesday despite the return of Jerome Seagears from ankle injury. Seagears scored 18 points, however, coming off the bench in a role that coach Eddie Jordan supports.

"Jerome was very good in his role," Jordan said. "I like him in that role. I like him being a catalyst and attack mode type of player coming off the bench."

Seagears getting hot led to D'Von Campbell spending the game on the bench. Jordan chalked it up to a coach's decision, but is expected to use Campbell heavily in his trip home to Texas for two games this week.
