Rutgers gained significant ground with Union City (N.J.) offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez. Gonzalez, a marquee Saturday visitor, pumped the Scarlet Knights up to third on his list behind Ohio State and Penn State. Read about his visit HERE.

Rutgers became the second Big Ten offer for Bethlehem (Pa.) Catholic wide receiver Freddie Simmons, who detailed his visit HERE.

The underclassman visitor news continues Monday with updates on the rest of the visitors. The list includes Bellemore (N.Y.) Mepham quarterback Tyler Davis, South Brunswick (N.J.) running back Dontae Strickland, Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph Regional linebacker R.J. Edwards and Union City (N.J.) running back Tamaine Boyd.


Glassboro (N.J.) cornerback Ronnie James and Westwood (N.J.) receiver Nolan Borgersen did not visit, and have each rescheduled visits for later in March.


On the basketball court, it was a big afternoon for the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers erased a 15-point second-half deficit to beat USF 74-73 in the final minute. Junior Kadeem Jack hit the game-winning shot with 11 seconds left in the game. Relive the action HERE.
