Settle, Tutt Preview Rutgers Visit

Rutgers plays host to two Virginia prospects Monday, including Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson five-star defensive tackle Tim Settle. Settle is visiting alongside Clifton (Va.) Centreville cornerback Charles Tutt and both hope to earn offers from the Scarlet Knights.

Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson five-star defensive tackle Tim Settle is rolling in scholarship offers, but has not yet received one from Rutgers. Settle is headed to New Jersey for a Monday "personal junior day" with the chance to get an offer as motivation.

"I actually don't know a lot about them," Settle said while on his way to Rutgers. "I don't know much about a lot of schools. I know I'll learn a lot tomorrow."

Settle decided to visit alongside Clifton (Va.) Centreville cornerback Charles Tutt. Tutt is in search of his first offer, and is a close friend of Settle.

"We don't have offers from there, so we just decided to go and try to get offers and see what it's like," Settle said. "I want to get a feeling for Rutgers. I have a feeling we'll both be getting offers."

Tutt is on the same ground as Settle in looking to learn more about the Scarlet Knights.

"I actually don't know a lot," he said. "I pretty much know that Ray Rice went there. That's a good place to start I guess."

Tutt is close to an offer from ODU and has Virginia and Virginia Tech visits under his belts. The 5-foot-10 cornerback said improving his grades and meeting coaches in-person are key to picking up his recruitment.

"I think I'm a dynamic player," Tutt said on what he brings to the college level. "I have good speed. … I can play on either side of the ball – corner or wide receiver. It depends on what teams want at their school."
