PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers is battling injuries at the receiver position, and rising sophomore Andre Patton is happy to pick up extra work in practice. Patton started in the first scrimmage of spring, and discussed his growing role heading into his second year at Rutgers.
Andre Patton made a late-freshman impact both on special teams and at the line of scrimmage.
In his first spring camp at Rutgers, Patton is one of a few full-go receivers, which allows him plenty of work with the battling quarterbacks.
Patton made just three catches as a true freshman. That number projects to rise dramatically going into his second season.
