PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers freshman Kam Lott is almost done with his first semester's worth of practice. Enrolling early to get a head start, Lott broke down his early adjustments, passion for Rutgers and the challenges of facing college receivers every day.
Kam Lott checks in at 5-foot-9, but is learning to play bigger in his first semester as a Rutgers cornerback. Battling daily against receivers like Leonte Carroo and Carlton Agudosi has Lott learning to compete against top talent.
Lott pushed as high as the second team at cornerback because of injuries, and spoke about his first semester on campus with ScarletReport.com after a practice. Lott will be one of four freshmen set to take the field for the first time in front of fans next week in the spring game.
