Glassboro CB James a Standout at Rutgers Camp

Glassboro (N.J.) cornerback Ronnie James has strong Rutgers ties, and was one of the top performers at Saturday's skills camp in Piscataway. James made the trip up with coaches and teammates, and discussed the camp after its conclusion with

At the end of every camp, Rutgers shows a 13-minute highlight video from last season. The video showcases many big moments from the season, 2013 NFL draft and offseason.

One of the main faces on the High Point Solutions Stadium video board is its starting running back Paul James – something his brother found quite entertaining.

"It was actually pretty funny," said Glassboro (N.J.) 2015 cornerback Ronnie James. "I was there with my cousin, and we just kept laughing. We were telling P.J. we could have done it better. You know, just messing around."

James received a Rutgers offer in the offseason, but had not made it to campus until the Saturday skills camp. James has a strong familiarity with the campus from visiting his brother over the last three years.

Getting back, however, still felt good he said.

"The camp was a lot of fun," James said. "It's going good with Rutgers."

James spent significant time with defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, who had 1-on-1 instruction time. James said Rossi invited him back with family soon.

Defensive backs coach Darrell Wilson, who also recruits South Jersey, spent time with James as well, and left a positive impression.

"I enjoyed [the attention] and learned from it," James said. "They taught me how to better myself."

The 6-foot, 175-pound James holds Syracuse and Pittsburgh offers and recently returned from camp at Penn State.

James has not yet set his return visit to Rutgers, and has no leaders or time table for a decision.

"I'm not sure about that stuff," James said.
