Turzilli Returns Home for Final Season

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Andrew Turzilli watched Rutgers transform as a high school prospect out of Butler (N.J.). After four years n the Big XII with Kansas, Turzilli is a part of the next Rutgers football transformation. A fifth-year transfer addition for coach Kyle Flood, Turzilli broke down his new team and his final college season.

Andrew Turzilli watched Mike Teel excel as a Rutgers football senior, and now has him as a coach. A Jersey native back home after four seasons with the Kansas Jayhawks, Turzilli said it was an honor to join the Scarlet Knights.

Turzilli is the lone senior receiver playing for Teel and wide receivers coach Ben McDaniels this season. He brings size and college experience to the position in need of depth after losing both Brandon Coleman and Quron Pratt.

Head coach Kyle Flood made Turzilli available for comment for the first time Sunday, and the 6-foot-4 receiver was happy to discuss his new home.
