Scrimmage Recap: Turay Wants More

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Eleven sacks, and two individually, is not enough for redshirt freshman Kemoko Turay when it comes to his expectations for the defense. After the first of two full Rutgers camp scrimmages, Turay explained why the defensive line cannot sit back and enjoy its Monday afternoon performance. There is more work to do.

Kemoko Turay wants to become a leader, and that starts with setting an example.

Turay is a problem in scrimmage situations for the Rutgers offensive line, and projects to have a similar impact against opponents this season. The redshirt freshman defensive lineman came to Rutgers with limited knowledge of the game.

After one year in the program, Turay is a key player in the defensive line rotation, and is bulked up nearly 30 pounds since his high school days.
