Flood Updates CB Situation, Injuries

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers coach Kyle Flood moved Justin Goodwin to cornerback Wednesday following an injury to Dre Boggs that has him sidelined. Speaking after training camp practice, Flood gave the latest on the defensive back field, injury situation Leonte Carroo's day off, Chris Laviano and more.

Justin Goodwin is a cornerback, but it is not permanent yet. With Dre Boggs out because of a lower body injury, Goodwin took his first reps as a starting cornerback since high school.

Coach Kyle Flood could use Goodwin both ways, and plans to have him as a cornerback in Saturday night's scrimmage. Desmon Peoples moved up to the second team with Goodwin on defense.

Also on the injury front, receiver Janarion Grant and running back Josh Hicks are expected back for the Saturday scrimmage. Leonte Carroo received his second day off of camp today.
