LSU Transfer Rettig Trying To Remain Patient

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Hayden Rettig transferred from Rutgers to LSU in the late spring, and will now red-shirt as he learns the offense and runs the scout team.

Hayden Rettig won't be able to play at Rutgers until 2015, but quarterback transfer from LSU is still impacting the program.

The red-shirt freshman is learning offensive coordinator Ralph Friegden's offense, and is settling in to being a scout team quarterback this fall.

He went 1-on-1 with ScarletReport.com to discuss his role at Rutgers, adjusting to life in New Jersey after growing up in Pasadena, Calif., and what he hopes to get out of the season.
