Camp Nears Conclusion, WSU Prep Begins

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers football continues to heal up as training camp reaches its conclusion for 2014. The scout team work began Tuesday morning with film study for Washington State also ready to start. Head coach Kyle Flood addressed the end of camp, and the latest on Justin Goodwin as a cornerback after practice.

Sophomore Justin Goodwin would have had a good role at running back, but his current spot at cornerback becomes essential.

Washington State kickoff is nine days away, and head coach Kyle Flood could see Goodwin playing every snap of the game on defense. Less than one week into his move to cornerback, he is a first-team player and will be key to what Rutgers does on defense against Mike Leach's offense.

Training camp breaks Tuesday night, which officially kicks of game preparations. many younger players began their work on the scout team today to help prepare the starters for their tripe to Seattle. Flood discussed it all with reporters on a Tuesday filled with special visitors.
